It might seem a little bit of an over-sight for someone like Talith Dupree to be in Class-Two, and not in the way that Talith would tell you. He’d say, “I can’t believe I have to work with these people,” but the reality of it is, his tendency to raise his nose at his peers is a problem, it holds them back. Most of his class find it hard to work with the meister. Some grow annoyed with his condescending attitude, while others simply refuse to work with him. But that’s mostly fine to the meister, he’d rather work alone anyways.
But that is a problem. Because he is a meister. The very title means he has to work with at least one other person, a weapon. But that in itself is a whole other issue. Talith has tried pairing up with just about every weapon in Class-Two, at least the ones that he deemed worthy. Sure it got the job done, but none of his chosen few really made him feel as if he should push himself as a meister. Why couldn’t he resonate with other students?
Talith, with the help of DWMA faculty, has crafted himself into what he considers the ideal meister. He is dedicated to the Academy and what it stands for, he would very well give his life to protect it and a good many of its employees. He is practical, his thoughts always dwell on the concrete and never on abstract things like art and fantasy. He has always tried to become the best, in this way he has grown to be a very determined young man. It seems as though the only thing that has the power to stop him from reaching his goals is himself, despite however intelligent he may be.
It is his self-sufficient ways that, ultimately, keep him from achieving great things. He possesses an arrogance at an intense level. In his mind, he should always do for himself because no one else can do it like he can.
Talith is brutally honest. He will tell you you look fat in that if you ask him.Abort mission. A person should NEVER go to Talith looking for soft and sweet words. If you expect him to make you feel better, be prepared to feel way worse. This may make him seem insensitive, but he doesn’t care. Not one bit. It is his philosophy that you shouldn’t ask a question you don’t want an honest answer to.
Being that he is an honest person, Talith absolutely despises people who lie and people who could be considered a thread to the DWMA. He also expects others to work hard and if he finds your work ethic to be lacking he will not like you, but not in a way that he’d care to tell you, he simply wouldn’t take the time to learn your name.
Talith struggles with emotions. He’s learned to keep them in and, when things go towards the worse, he may not express his emotions the way he should. He has been described by others as robotic. He dislikes displaying affection and will cringe when people hug him.
Because Talith is more than a bit anal about completing tasks given to him, in groups he may try to take complete control, because of this some may allow him to do everything, simply reaping the benefit of having their work done for them. Of course, Talith notices when this happens, but he doesn’t say much. He can do everything on his own and have it turn out better than if they helped anyways… Right?

HISTORY
Talith was born in Death City, into a family comprised of a long line of meisters. They were proud of being a predominately meister family but not every member of his family was a very successful one. As the family grew older, the talented meisters it offered to the world became fewer. Eventually the family had dwindled in numbers, until only his father could pass on the family name.
Tragedy struck Talith’s small family when his mother had died on a mission in a distant country, however his father had remained strong and honored her memory; never blaming Lord Reaper. Talith had only been two years old when this happened, therefore he doesn’t possess any memory of her. It seemed that the two male pair had become the tragic family, always missing something. But the tragedy hadn’t run its course through, not completely.
It was a few years later, Talith had just started his education at the DWMA, as an education only student (as was custom until abilities awoke). It was then that his father had fallen ill, and it was bad. His father had pushed himself so hard to care for his child that he ignored all of the symptoms he had. He died a year later, to leukemia.
Talith’s mother’s parents were very old and sickly and his father had no other kin, therefore when he died he was taken in by Talith’s aunt, his mother’s younger sister. Giselle Roamer was her name. Talith knew her a little and the small bit of familiarity to the 6 year old was enough to make him warm up to the young woman. Giselle wasn’t your typical 26 year old though. She was a scientist at Soul Lab where she routinely tested Talith’s growth of meister and magical abilities. Truth be told she was fascinated by his family’s line and wanted to know what was so strong about the meister gene they possessed.
Giselle wanted to help ensure that Talith would become a strong meister. When it was brought to her attention his vision was bad, she wanted to correct it, but she wanted to try something new, not anything like laser surgery. It was found that the boy possessed a strong soul, one that could explain how so many of his family’s line had ended up with meister abilities. It could also withstand multiple experiments without harm. With this in mind, she altered the boy’s soul, adding a self-made substance that should have helped his vision. It did give him crystal clear vision, however it also made it hard for him to discern color. Talith had become color blind due to his aunt’s insatiable curiosity at age 9. It was shortly after this that his meister abilities came to fruition. Giselle wondered if her tinkering had triggered it.
After her first serious experiment on the boy, Giselle became afraid to alter him in any way. Instead she only wanted him to have a good chance at further enhancing his abilities as a meister. She insisted that the DWMA take him in and help him with his meister abilities. At ten years old, Talith, not mentally unmarked by his aunt’s cold demeanor, moved into the DWMA dorms. He was happy to be away from his aunt’s needles.
At the DWMA Talith worked hard to become the best meister he could become. He wanted to honor his father’s memory by becoming a great meister. His magical abilities made an appearance right before his first year as a Class Five student when he was twelve years old. He was annoyed at being placed in such a low class, however he worked doggedly to increase his ability, both magical and meister, and quickly became one of the best of Class Five. By the time he had even entered Class Five, Talith had begun to operate his meister abilities with ease. After two years in Class Three, he began to control his magical power of manipulating water more.
After three years and much improvement, Talith ascended to Class Two, but he still wasn’t satisfied. He had his sights set on Class One and he wouldn’t let himself become stagnant, not yet.

ABILITIES
SOUL PERCEPTION: Talith's Soul Perception is very strong, his ability with it is among the top students of Class Two. He can see every type of soul and can read the emotional state of nearby souls. (level: intermediate)
STRENGTHEN BOND: Talith's wavelength can improve soul relations with other people who are open to the connection. He cannot use this ability to form a connection with others who are not open to it. He can't force a good resonance with someone who doesn't like him, because that would mean that person would not be open to the connection. Talith has decent control over this ability, however he doesn't like to rely on it because he doesn't want to become lazy. (level: intermediate)
WATER MANIPULATION: Talith's magical ability to manipulate water would have been a dangerous ability in the hands of a full-blooded witch. Being that Talith is a meister, however, this ability isn't as strong as that. Instead, Talith can only manipulate small amounts of water at a time. It hasn't been very useful, other than being a quick solution to a mess, and only if it involves water. With hard work, Talith may be able to strengthen this magical ability, but it will take time.(level: Intermidiate)
