This is an alternate universe Soul Eater roleplay. Sort of. It actually follows the final events of the manga 100 years later. Things seem to be going great. So great that witches who have somehow found their way to a path not riddled with chaos and destruction are allowed to attend the DWMA as students. Some have even taken to becoming meisters, and with all of the mingling, there have been many cases of weapons being born with magical powers. The world is evolving under the watchful eye of Death the Kid, now known simply as Lord Reaper. Will you embrace the new way of the world, or will you get left behind?
It was another day like any other at the DWMA. Something that a certain professor enjoyed. His students proceed decently through the material for the past week. That was all fine and dandy, but for the dark haired professor, that wasn't enough.
He needed to see application.
Queris had told the students to meet him in the dojo for the next portion of class, as they were having a "lab activity" that would consider applying the recent material.
The piercing lavender eyes watched his students file into the dojo, a smirk pulling at the corner of his lips. When everyone had entered into the room, he cleared his throat.
"Everyone, please pay attention. Today's lab will be a hands-on application of the material we have recently covered. For those of you who may have forgotten," He said as his picked out a few troubling students in the group, "the material covers the usage of magical abilities and fighting with weapons."
He lifted his left hand, which suddenly began to leak a wispy aura. It floated upwards, crafting a blade that floated in the air. It was merely a demonstration, but he could see the fear in some of their eyes.
The rumors of his unorthodox methods were partially based in truth. He would never directly harm students, but he would show them what they should be careful of when outside the DWMA's walls. But he also knew that wasn't the only reason some feared him. It was known among a larger group that his catastrophe wavelength often left ruin in his wake. Those with soul perception probably even saw the controlled, but wild soul that belonged to their professor.
"You'll need to get into groups of two. After everyone has found a partner, we will proceed. You will need to make sure it is someone who will actually benefit from during this time."
The Meisters eyes scanned the room. Looking around, she could see that most of the students were tired. That made sense because this was the first class of the day, most people did not fully wake up until around ten in the morning, sometimes later. The pink-haired Meister, Tessa, had then moved her eyes to look at the professor standing at the front of the room, and having everyone's full attention.
Tessa understood what the professor was talking about, wanting to see the application of what they had learned. It made sense, wanting to see what they had learned in the class thus far. Thinking back, the Meister realized that what Professor Queris was talking about in class--Magical abilities as well as Weapons. She had all of the notes jotted down in her notebook that was inside her messenger bag that was around her shoulder. She watched closely at what the professor was doing, demonstrating his own abilities for the class to watch. She was impressed with his abilities and wanted to learn more. However, before that, they had to split into groups for the activity of today's lesson.
At that moment, the pink-haired Meister glanced at her Weapon partner, Yuki, and nodded. True, they were partners, but they had only just started the long road ahead of them to becoming a true Weapon-Meister team. Tessa spoke up, "You ready?" It was then that Tessa noticed a wild air of Wavelength erupted around the dojo. It felt control yet wild, like it was suppressed somehow. It was nothing like her own Pandora Wavelength. Even if she wanted to, Tessa could not control anything about her Wavelength and how it behaved. The only one that could do that was someone with Healing Wavelength. The Meister then decided to see where it was coming from. Using Soul Perception, she had now noticed that it was coming from the Professor. Very interesting... Tessa thought.
Because she needed Soul Perception to use her own magical abilities, using it on the Professor was a good idea. After all, eventually she would need to know what she would be working with, whether in a Mission or just in class. After seeing the professor's soul, Tessa used her Soul Perception to read up on her own soul, watching it get smaller before expanding at an alarming rate. She would have to keep an eye on her Wavelength in order to use her magical abilities.
Oh, what a day, what a day. Yuki pranced around in her room, much too early for a student of DWMA. She did so quietly, at least, as to not wake up her house mate in her own room. As for the reason of this, the tiny girl was nervous, of course. What else would she be? It was her first day in actual Class 2 lessons. It was mostly unnerving, but also a bit exciting. It was the first day the young Weapon would spend learning alongside her new-found partner, Tessa Rigby. She couldn't wait to get better as a weapon and as a partner with her Meister.
After a deep breath, Yuki got out of her pyjama and put on some clothing, consisting of a simple one-piece white dress that kept to her small form until reaching her hips, then forming out into a long frilly skirt. The dress possessed somewhat puffy shoulders on its shorts sleeves and a collar which she kept doubled over. Yuki also did her hair in a pair of little mousey hair buns, keeping most of it up in two buns atop her head. Then, she packed her new school material into her brown leather handbag. Then, she simply awaited for Tessa to wake up before joining her for breakfast and leaving for school.
However, things didn't quite go as expected. Rather, Yuki didn't really know what to expect. But the fact that the class was going to take place in the dojo was already a terrible sign of things to come. Screaming in silence, the little Weapon desperately wanted to ask her partner about this class they were about to have. What happened to nice, orderly lessons in a normal classroom? Why are they heading to the dojo? Concluding it must be norm for Class 2 students, Yuki sucked it up and accompanied Tessa.
Before even doing anything, the teacher there present was already intimidating the young blonde. And as he began talking, one could literally see the colour escape Yuki's expression. Material recently covered? What material? This was Yuki's first class! Her internal screaming intensified as her worst fears came to light. The class was about fighting! And with magic! How was she supposed to fight with her measly healing magic?
Little Yuki finally found some solace in the fact the students were supposed to pair up. Her eyes immediately shot up at her partner, Tessa. It seems she didn't have to talk, as the pink haired Meister understood and nodded. It was almost as if she could read her mind! Or maybe she just saw the tears in her partner's eyes and could tell she was freaking out a bit.
