PREFACE
Life at the DWMA has become a melting pot of sorts. With the addition of Witches to the school, relations were started between all students, unbreakable bonds were formed. Because of this nearly all inhabitants of the DWMA possess witch-like traits; they can use a small amount of magic. The Academy has changed dramatically since Lord Reaper has assumed control of the school. It is now a diverse place with very diverse students. Things are not as black and white as they once were.
The character classes that a member is allowed to create are as follows: Meister, Weapon, Witch and Human. Evil Humans, Kishin Eggs and Rogue Witches are all apart of the universe but they are not playable characters and will not become playable in the future. The reason for this is because we want to keep things inside of Death City as much as possible, focusing on the school life of the students in the DWMA primarily. Please be aware that partnering up your characters is no longer necessary for your character's to grow stronger. With the addition of magical abilities to all students, most students can hold their own in battle. Group resonances are still a large part of school life at times and there are some students who decide to partner up. There may also be times your character must partner up with someone for a brief time for a mission or to simply strengthen certain character abilities.
There are still students who attend class who only possess the abilities of a witch, however there are many more meisters and weapons. Keep that in mind while deciding which type of character you want to make. If too many pure blood witches are being made we will place a temporary ban on them until more meisters and weapons are created.
80 Years have passed since witches started at the Academy. Currently students who attend the school are from about the 4th generation of meisters and weapons being born with these abilities. At this point it's more abnormal for a student not to possess these abilities than it is for them to have them.
MEMBERGROUPS
MEISTER | Meisters possess all the abilities of a regular meister. For example, Soul Perception, Soul Purge, etc plus the addition of one magical ability. Meisters excel at wielding weapons and can usually develop their meister-related abilities fairly quickly. The magical abilities they possess may be helpful but not very powerful. Eventually a meister may perfect his magic or even learn more, but it is very hard for a meister to do so. It takes time and an extreme amount of effort. Starting out, Meisters are allowed 3 meister related abilities, plus 2 magical abilities. |
WEAPON | Weapons have always possessed magic-like traits. Long ago they were created through the use of magic. These individuals possess the power to transform into weapons. Because of the witch blood coursing through their veins now, they can use magic much like meisters can. However they, too, cannot use very powerful magic. The existence of weapons with more than 1 weapon form has even become less rare of an occurrence. If a weapon's gene-pool possesses the right concentration of multi-form weapons then they will likely have them too, although they are harder to unlock than their original form and even harder to control.Weapons can have 3 abilities related to their weapon form and 2 additional magical abilities. Being able to transform into their weapon form counts as a freebie, but if you want your weapon to be able to partially transform parts of their body that counts towards one of the 3 abilities you are allotted. |
WITCH | Truthfully a pureblood witch is a rare sight at the Academy, but they do exist. Witches do not possess abilities of weapons or meisters but they do have a natural affinity for magic. Unlike other students at the Academy, Witches can use powerful magic. Witches can wield weapons, but not very effectively. Very few witches can successfully complete a soul resonance. A new DWMA witch can use up to 5 magical spells, plus soul protect and flight. |
HUMAN | A human is, well, a human. They do not possess any abilities, but they may have their own ways of protecting themselves. |
CHARACTER CLASSES
CLASS 1 | Class One is comprised of the school's "elite students". Meisters, weapons and even Witches all make up this class and are the best of the best at whatever they do. Weapons who are about to go through the change from a regular weapon to a Deathscythe are always apart of this class. Weapons who are Deathscythes but still attending classes remain in this class. Class One is often assigned to very difficult missions and is the smallest class of the school, usually containing only 7 or 8 members. |
CLASS 2 | This class is primarily made up of weapons and meisters. These students possess a decent amount of ability and are normally the first ones in line for missions. This class also has the highest mortality rate. Class Two is the largest class at the Academy, often containing 20+ students. Because of the size of this class, Lord Reaper had to create a larger class-area for its students. Witches that wish to wield weapons and show decent ability in doing so are placed in this class. |
CLASS 3 | Class Three is one of the two classes made up entirely by witches. This class focuses on destructive magic types and controlling the sway of their magic. It is imperative that a witch keeps her pull to destruction and chaos under check at all times. In this class these students are shown how to do so. |
CLASS 4 | This class is the other class made up of witches. This class is made up of witches who possess support-like magic. They heal their comrades and can gift special abilities to them for a short time. These witches do not fight the pull to madness like witches of Class Three. This is due to the nature of their abilities. Mostly they just want to help others. Missions this class may take usually have to do with helping other classes. They may be called out to provide an added boost to another class or asked to retrieve a certain group that may be injured and bring them back to the school. |
CLASS 5 | Class Five contains students with little ability. They are often looked down on by the other battle-classes and are hardly ever asked to go out on missions. These students may not have their most basic abilities mastered or are simply lazy and do not care enough to advance. Students in this class may be called to arms if things look bad for Second Class, however this is a very rare occasion. Mostly, these students are told to practice and learn to hone their abilities so that they can be placed into a different class. Many students start out in this class. |
CLASS 6 | Class Six is made up of many different people. Citizens of Death City can send their children to the school where they are taught basic things that are taught at any school. These students may not possess any ability as a weapon, meister or even a witch. Students who do not possess the ability of a weapon or a witch may still learn how to wield a weapon. If a student enrolls into the Academy as this type of student they generally do not have any wish to fight or even progress their ability. They simply need an education. |
TEACHER | The DWMA has six teacher employed with them. Each class group has its own assigned teacher. These teachers possess abilities necessary to run their class. Teachers at the DWMA were once students of merit. They were all once a part of Class One and are very strong and sometimes scary. |
LAB EMPLOYEE | An employee of Soul Production Laboratory. There are numerous scientist of the lab who are well paid to keep the goings-on of the lab quiet to the public. There is also an elite security team and a janitorial team. Everyone employed at the lab never talk about what they see or hear there. Their silence only adds more to the lab's air of mystery. |
CITIZEN | Death City is a large place brimming with daily life of its citizens. A citizen can have abilities of a meister, witch or a weapon or they can be just an average human being trying to make it in the world. |
